Is Teaching an Art or a Science?

I personally believe that teaching is both an art form and a science. As a teacher, you have to look into the steps of the scientific method to get the best results in the classroom. You have to observe your students, hypothesize how you think they will learn the best with a particular lesson, put that lesson into action, and then come up with your final conclusions. From this you can determine what works best for that specific group of students for a certain subject. In comparison, teaching is also an art form because the teacher has to be creative in how they choose to implement the lesson into the classroom to keep the students engaged. The teachers will have to come up with some original ideas and incorporate ideas from coworkers or other outside sources to give the best education possible to the class. Having to make up lesson ideas for this class and another class that I am currently taking, I know that is not always an easy task and it takes a lot of creative thinking, hard work, and dedication to get the best results possible out of what you are trying to do.
